Medium Rare Cinema presents: Burn! -Uncut

From the director of 'The Battle of Algiers' comes 'Burn!' This highly incendiary piece of political commentary stars Marlon Brando as a mercenary who deliberately instigates a slave revolt on an island in the Caribbean so he can profit off of the resulting improved British sugar trade. We will be showing a version of the film that has never been seen before. You see, when the film was released in the US in 1970, United Artists cut 20 minutes of mostly political material, for fear of alienating the Spanish government. This was slightly rectified in 2004, when the uncut version was released to repertory theaters (though not on DVD). But, unfortunately, the film was entirely dubbed into Italian. This eliminated Marlon Brando's brilliant vocal performance. Medium Rare Cinema's new version uses the uncut film and leaves in Brando's voice.
