Workshop- works by Matt Klos October 1st- 30th “Making paintings from the objects in my studio and the various lights that pervade it is an endless and enjoyable puzzle. My paintings are formalist constructions but the arrangements of objects I paint are often found, rather than arranged. My paintings are of old jars and archaic household objects. Dust often obscures these objects and even when the objects are clearly defined their original purposes may be unintelligible to our generation. In an age when so many answers are at our fingertips through computers and smartphones, I marvel at this disconnection with our recent past.” Join us for the opening reception Friday, October 6th from 6pm - 9pm with wine and light fare.
