Join us for the 23rd Annual Empty Bowl Benefit Dinner and be a part of an important community service event that brings together the Arcadia University community and the surrounding community to enjoy a meal together for a great cause. It serves as an opportunity to raise awareness of hunger and homelessness internationally and on a local level.
Attendees choose a ceramic bowl handcrafted by a member of the community to be used as their soup bowl for the evening. Delicious soups, breads, and desserts are donated by area restaurants and individuals from the surrounding community. Attendees take home their selected bowl to serve as a reminder to the one who ate from it that somewhere in the world, someone is without a meal or shelter.
Each year 100% of the proceeds go to two non-profits assisting the hungry and the homeless. This year's proceeds will benefit the Philadelphia Interfaith Hospitality Network, a local agency that provides temporary shelter and food to homeless families, and The Hunger Project, which promotes hunger relief and economic stability through improved agricultural techniques world-wide.
Tickets are $15.
