Join us Tuesday, October 18th at American Sardine Bar for a party celebrating Manayunk Brewing Company’s 20th anniversary. Starting with a 1/2 price happy hour (4pm), this all night event features 7 Manayunk drafts, including their 20th Anniversary Ale barrel aged with brettanomyces & muscat grapes and a real ale pin served bar top style. Chef Doreen DeMarco will be preparing several special Manayunk beer-inspired dishes for the evening as well.
Four years ago when we were searching for the perfect backyard drinking beer, we reached out to long time local practitioners Manayunk Brewing to concoct a sessionable take on Russian River’s Redemption- our very own east coast belgian blonde, American Sardine Ale. We wish to thank them for keeping us (and you) swimming in it.
The Manayunk Brewery story is classic Philadelphia. A repurposed textile mill by a river, family owned, flooded out and rebuilt through out the years, always back stronger than ever. Head Brewer Evan Fritz’s passion for barrel aged & sour beers adds another dimension to the 20 year history of a brewery that for many Philadelphians, gave them their first taste of a micro brewed beer.
