The Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter invites you and your faith organization to join us in the fight against this growing health crisis. You can get involved by helping to educate your faith community about Alzheimer’s, the sixth-leading cause of death in our Nation.
Join other faith organizations in the fight by participating in our “Faith Giving Day” on Sunday, November 12, 2017 or any other day of your choice during the month of November.
Taking part in the Faith Community project is easy. Ask your congregants to help make a difference in the lives of those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease in one or all of the following ways:
• Designate a day in the month of November 2017 as “Faith Giving Day” for your congregation. Ask your congregants to help make a difference in the lives of those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease in one or all of the following ways:
• Go purple, the color of Alzheimer’s awareness.
• Host a FREE educational event, such as “Know the 10 Signs, the Basics of Alzheimer’s or Healthy Habits for a Healthier You.”
• Set up an information table with Alzheimer’s Programs, Services & Resource Materials
• Participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. The Philadelphia Walk to End Alzheimer's will take place on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Citizens Bank Park; Registration Begins 8:30 AM / Walk Begins 9:30 AM.
This year, the Delaware Valley Chapter is asking every congregation in the Delaware Valley to send a contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter at 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
The strong support of our faith leaders and faith communities will make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s. Help us lead the way to Alzheimer’s First Survivor! For more information and support, please contact:
