Night Kitchen Bakery Supports the LGBTQIA+ Community

Night Kitchen Bakery wants to contribute to the LGBTQIA+ community through baking. The bakery is holding a fundraiser now through Labor Day. They have designed a LGBTQIA+ Pride cookie which will be sold for $5. All proceeds from the sale of the equality cookie will be donated to the William Way LGBT Community Center

The William Way LGBT Community Center is an organization that serves the LGBTQIA+ communities in the Greater Philadelphia area with various social programs and support services. Their mission is to “to engage and support the diverse LGBTQIA+ communities in the greater Philadelphia area through arts & culture, empowerment, and community connections''.

The NKB sugared shortbread cookies are notorious for their thick cut and buttery flavor. There are only four ingredients in these cookies: butter, flour, sugar and vanilla. The bakery is known for cutting its sugared shortbread cookies into seasonal shapes and this time around the design is in support of the LGBTQIA+ community and Pride Month.

A Philadelphia cornerstone of artisan baked goods for 40 years, The Night Kitchen Bakery is known for specialty cakes, “Best of Philly'' brownies, and sinful sticky buns while handcrafting each recipe with love. Amy Edelman and John Millard work and own The Night Kitchen Bakery together. Amy runs the business, has the vision and is often seen working in the kitchen. John does a lot of the baking and also the deliveries. Their 14-year-old daughter Izzy claims the job as the official taste tester. The Night Kitchen Bakery is located at 7723-25 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19118 and open Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 6 pm, Saturday 8 am to 6 pm and Sunday 8 am to 4 pm.
