On Saturday, September 19th Concilio (The Council of Spanish Speaking Organizations) will host the Annual Puerto Rican Festival Awards Gala at the Sheraton Philadelphia Society Hill. The event will bring together the area's Latino leaders, government figures, corporate executives, media personalities and heads of community-based organizations to celebrate local Hispanic heritage and cultural pride. Award recipients include: Dr. Enrique Hernandez, Citizen of the Year Award; Maria Pajil Battle, Lifetime Achievement Award; Sasha Rivera, Latino Youth Award; and Javier Suarez, Community Service Award.
