Despite its delicate appearance, glass art is forged in a flurry of flame and muscle. One can learn the basics of this unique art during a hands-on workshop, during which professional glassblower Jim Loewer will teach them to make their own glass pendant.

Learn the Tools of the Trade: Students will use a torch and kiln, glass tubing, and pigmented glass to craft their spherical pendant, complete with a loop for easy hanging.

Tour the Studio: Student has a chance to check the building’s 60-plus art studios and blocks from the Italian market.

Take Your Treasure Home: Once the pendant has run through a 12-hour kiln cycle, students can take it with them to display with pride.
