The Process:

The start of a lash lift:

✦ After cleansing, we begin by gently adhering your natural lashes to a silicone rod using a water based adhesive.

✦ The goal is to get your lashes as straight as possible since that is how they will sit after being processed.

✦ The tightness of the curl is determined by the rod used, and there are different sizes available to accommodate everyone’s lashes.

During a lash lift:

✦ Once all of your lashes are positioned neatly on both rods, the 1st solution is applied.

✦ The processing time is determined by the health of the natural lash (NL).

Thick and dense lashes require more time to process since the 1st solution needs time to open the cuticle so the NL can hold the curl. Thin or sparse lashes require a shorter processing time so that the NL doesn’t get over-processed. 

✦ The 2nd solution is then applied to the lashes after the 1st one is removed.

✦ The 2nd solution neutralizes the 1st and stops the chemical processing.

After a lash lift:

✦ Once the 2nd solution is removed, the lashes are gently removed from the rods and thoroughly rinsed to remove the adhesive.

✦ If time allows, a deep conditioning treatment is applied to the lashes. If a lash tint is being done, then that would follow and be applied. A brow tint will also be done during this time.

Maintenance:

For aftercare, you simply cannot get your lashes wet for a full 24hrs to allow the lift to cure. The lift will last anywhere from 6-8 weeks. Tints last about 4-6weeks. Generally avoiding excessive steam (really hot showers) and/or saunas will help keep your lashes looking their best!

It is recommend to book another appointment at 8 weeks to ensure that your lashes don’t get over-processed. This allows processed lashes to shed and new ones to grow in.
