Kids Saturday Art Class: Printmaking
The Studios of Cocoa Beach hosts a kids art class on Saturdays in July., from 10 to 11 am. “Printmaking “which meets for four weeks on July 8,15,22, and 29 from 10 to 11 am.. We will create prints using flowers and fruits, the sun cyanotype), foam (relief printing), recycled materials (collagraph), and gelli plates (Monoprinting).
This super-fun art class focuses on process, rather than product. Process art allows children to explore and make connections without the pressure of "right" or "wrong" ways to do things. It helps develop creativity and self-esteem by focusing on what kids imagine rather than their skill level. With excitement and interest in their own creations, kids grow curious and naturally start developing those skills. The group small so each child can have the attention and guidance they need to create and learn!
Glaucia has a Masters Degree in Art Education and is a certified Art Educator in the state of Florida. She has taught art classes for at least 15 years in the public and private sectors, mostly to kids, but also to adults. She has a wide knowledge of a variety of media and processes and can't wait to share them with you
