Conversations on a Bench | 24-Hour Livestream

On October 9–10, 2025, New Life Mission and CITA Rescue Mission will host a 24-hour event in Downtown Melbourne as part of a nationwide initiative called Conversations on a Bench. From 3 PM Thursday to 3 PM Friday, CEOs Amy Lyon and Buddy Morrow will sit on a bench in Downtown Melbourne outside 407 E New Haven Ave—rain or shine—to engage in honest conversations about homelessness, addiction, and mental health with community members, pastors, city officials, and individuals. The event will be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube, with links to watch and donate available at www.newlife-mission.org/conversationsonabench Community members are encouraged to tune in, submit questions online, or stop by the bench in person to take part in this unique opportunity to listen, share, and reflect on how we can respond together with hope.
