The West Melbourne Business Association Community Event
The West Melbourne Business Association has appointed Ricardo Alvarez Jr from Computer Rich LLC, President of the organization. The WMBA is a non-profit civic organization established in 1983 to promote best business practices and support philanthropic and charitable endeavors in the Greater West Melbourne area. The WMBA consist of private individuals, business owners, professionals, designated members from larger corporations, and city officials.
The WMBA holds community events on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Times and locations to be announced. Our first community event of the year will be on Wednesday February 21st @ 5:30 PM at the Marriott Courtyard Bistro at 2101 W New Haven Ave, West Melbourne, FL 32904.
West Melbourne Police Chief Greg Vesta will say a few words and Mayor Pat Bentley has also been invited to speak. The city, the West Melbourne Police Department and the Melbourne and Palm Bay Chambers, have long been great supporters of the WMBA. Last year, The WMBA returned the favor by donating $1400 to The West Melbourne Police Elf Run.
Our new President, Rich, will be the featured speaker. He will give a brief history of the WMBA, introduce himself as President and his vision of the organization going forward. Rich is a 69 Y/O Florida native, born and raised in the Tampa area. He moved to the Space Coast in Nov ’09 and opened Computer Rich LLC, Your PERSONAL Tech Support. He repairs computers, removes malware and offers private tutoring, especially for seniors, because they are an ignored part of the population when it comes to IT. Relatives usually don’t have the time, patience nor the knowledge to help their seniors.
