Join us for a meaningful and historic global celebration - the inaugural International Taijiquan Day, taking place on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10:00–11:00 AM at beautiful Lake Hiawatha Preserve in Clermont, Florida (near the playground/pavilion).
For the first time, Taijiquan (Tai Chi) has been recognized on an international level with a dedicated day aligned with the Spring Equinox, a time that symbolizes balance in nature — yin and yang, light and dark. This perfectly reflects the essence of Tai Chi, often described as “meditation in motion.”
Taijiquan has also been recognized by UNESCO as part of the world’s Intangible Cultural Heritage, honoring its deep cultural roots and its proven benefits for health, wellness, and community connection. This global designation highlights Tai Chi’s ability to bring people together through gentle movement, mindful breathing, and a shared sense of harmony.
What to Expect: A welcoming, all-levels Tai Chi practice; Tai Chi demonstrations
Who Should Attend: This event is open to everyone, whether you’re brand new to Tai Chi, returning after some time, or a seasoned practitioner.
Why Attend: Tai Chi is known to support balance, reduce stress, improve mobility, and promote overall well-being. Practicing together outdoors, on a day recognized around the world—creates a powerful shared experience of connection, calm, and positive energy.
