A show straight from the unfettered minds and uninhibited mouths of the funniest, most daring, most experienced people in comedy: the women who have seen it all! They've raised children both on and off the road, having club bouncers watch their babies while onstage. These women have stayed in comedy condos where you don't want to use a black-light on anything. They've been told women aren't funny. Raw, smart, and unfiltered, this show will have you laughing out loud as these women tell it all! The hit Showtime special premiered in 2019 as the network's highest rated stand up special. It made history as the first comedy special to feature six female comedians over the age of 50. Since then, Showtime has produced two more hit specials with the most recent premiering in November 2021. Creator Carole Montgomery joins Leighann Lord, Monique Marvez, and Julia Scotti onstage for an evening of side-splitting comedy live in Jacksonville! With more than two dozen television credits to her name, Carole is a respected veteran of the stand up comedy scene, and has headlined clubs and colleges across the U.S. and starred in two different Las Vegas productions where The Las Vegas Sun named her "one of Vegas' premier comics."
Carole Montgomery has had a long and varied career. With over two dozen television credits to her name, Carole Montgomery is a respected veteran of the standup comedy scene nationwide. Monique Marvez is the perfect artist for these dynamic times. She has spent 25 years at the forefront of changing media, mores and cultural shifts both pop and profound with three diverse SHOWTIME Specials and a much lauded appearance on HBOMax' HA Festival, now streaming. Marvez' nearly 20 year career in radio, ran concurrently with a national touring schedule, performances for the military and prestigious cruise ship bookings. It began at Emmis Communication with a total format flip to showcase her, going on to win San Diego's JACKFM's Million Dollar Morning Show Contest and then leapfrogging onto LA's venerable KFI AM 640, where she hosted her own eponymous news/talk show; a Saturday night wrap up of the week's events for years. While doing so, she launched a podcast to keep the interaction going, the very successful Third Hour. Television, both appearing and writing for the likes of Barry Diller, NBC Universal and Dick Wolf Productions, commercials, voice over work, a one woman show featured at the Edmonton Fringe Festival and recently launched YouTube channel have been interwoven with all the above passion projects and content creations.
Julia Scotti has performed standup at venues all over the country, she is currently starring in the critically acclaimed documentary, Julia Scotti: Funny that Way. After a very successful film festival tour, it is now streaming on digital platforms. Julia looks forward to bringing her acting talents to more projects in the future. Also on tap, is a Dry Bar Comedy Special, which was recorded earlier this year. In the meantime, can see her on the Showtime network as one of the featured performers in More Funny Women of a Certain Age, produced by her old and dear friend, Carole Montgomery. Julia is recording her new album this November for 800 LB Gorilla Records, but in the meantime, her first album, Hello Boys, I'm Back! is available for download wherever fine comedy is sold! And of course, Julia remains a fan favorite of America's Got Talent audiences around the world. Her three appearances on the show appear on YouTube with over a million views on each!
