West Volusia Chapter of the Military Officers Association meet on Wednesday Oct 01 / DeBary CClub
Our guest speaker(s) will be Ms. Sara Owens - with the Volusia Young Marines, part of our nation’s premiere, award-winning program for boys and girls between the ages of eight and eighteen. The Young Marines strengthens the lives of America's youth by teaching the importance of self-confidence, academic achievement, honoring our veterans, good citizenship, community service, and living a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Also, Mr. David Seilkop from the West Volusia Habitat for Humanity who will be presenting information on the Veterans' Home Building project planned for DeLand.

Social hour will be from 11:00-11:30. Club servers will begin bringing the food out at 11:30 so as to start eating by 11:45. The cost is $24 pp, paid at the door.
Community Support - We support the Emory L. Bennett State Veterans’ Nursing Home in Daytona Beach and The Barracks of Hope in Daytona which provides transitional housing for up to 9 months to male and female veterans who have struggled with homelessness, addiction, and mental health. Donations of pantry items and "hygiene items" are collected for them.
