Community, Volleyball Join Forces When Giving Machine Omaha Hosts LOVB Nebraska
Community and volleyball will join forces when Giving Machine Omaha hosts a LOVB Nebraska Meet the Players Night. Fans will have an opportunity to see members of the professional women’s indoor volleyball team that was originally known as LOVB Omaha during an event that will feature autographs, pictures and donations.
As part of the annual Light the World initiative, Westroads Mall visitors can do an instant act of kindness by donating items available from Giving Machine Omaha. With a simple card swipe, individuals can purchase items for people in need here in the Omaha metro area or around the world through Dec. 9.
​The Light the World Giving Machine is a global initiative that began in 2017. Since then, more than $44 million has been contributed to assist millions in need. There are 126 locations that will host these unique and memorable vending machines this year.​
The local nonprofits that will participate in this year’s Giving Machine Omaha include:
Catholic Charities of Omaha
CUES School System (Omaha)
HETRA (Gretna)
New Visions Homeless Services (Omaha and Council Bluffs)
Trivium Life Services (Council Bluffs)
