The Sound and the Fury Live in Concert
Kansas City rockers The Sound and the Fury (TSATF) are back with a vengeance; their powerful new album "Memento Mori" is out now. True to its Latin title meaning "remember you have to die," the album dives deep into themes of mortality and resilience, with a sound that marries progressive rock, grunge, and metal.
Leading the charge is the explosive single "Alpha and Omega", accompanied by a visually stunning music video (directed by Kevin Mellon; produced by Greg Turcotte/HMXLive) released on May 10, 2024. The track is an alt-rock juggernaut, blending fierce guitar riffs and pounding drums with an anthemic chorus. Mellon is also known for his work on the Marvel/Hulu series “Hit Monkey” and on the 10 seasons of Emmy Award winning animated show “Archer”.
TSATF took an innovative approach to releasing "Memento Mori," unveiling each track as a single over six weeks, keeping fans on the edge of their seats until the full album drop.
Fronted by Jeff Wood, the band features Jay Kassen on bass, John Floyd Whitaker on drums in addition to Aaron Ogle on lead guitar and his son, Drake Ogle, on rhythm guitar. This father-son dynamic adds a unique layer to their music, bridging generational influences. TSATF has played hundreds of shows, sharing stages with Seether, Stone Sour, Puddle Of Mudd and more.
