The Omaha Dance Project is proud to present its 2024 production, “The Match Girl and Other Works.” The production features a beautiful and haunting new ballet choreographed by OAB Artistic Director, Juliette Henning, and inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s tale, "The Little Match Girl." The production will also showcase works choreographed by Kenneth Owens, Phoebe Perry, and Katrinka Stayton. All performances will take place at Marian High School’s Performing Arts Center, 7400 Military Ave, on January 27th (2:00 and 7:30 pm) and January 28th (2:00 pm). Tickets are $15 (students and seniors) or $20 (adults) and can be reserved by visiting www.oabdance.org. Note: This production often sells out, so we encourage the public to purchase tickets in advance.
Founded in 2005, Omaha Dance Project (ODP) is OAB's community performance program open to dancers throughout the community. This rigorous program aims to provide non-professionals with the chance to experience a professional-style performing experience. ODP was developed to serve as an important level in our teaching program for students and the community at large. Pre-professional dancers develop skills that can only be learned from professional performing opportunities. Additionally, ODP collaborates with local and regional dance choreographers to bring their works to life.
