Wellness in the Park at Heartwood Preserve: Free FitCamp with Will Morales

On Saturday, June 28, work up a sweat at FitCamp with kettlebell world champion Will Morales. Will is the Vitality Coach for Omya, where he designs transformative programs that fuse mindset, mobility, strength and recovery into a high-performance lifestyle. As a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete and prostate cancer survivor, Will brings unmatched energy, expertise and empathy to every session. Will is a licensed physical therapist assistant and NASM-certified personal trainer. From bootcamp to yoga, the lineup will change, but the healthy vibes won’t, just bring a towel, some water and get ready to have fun! Stay and receive expert advice or just enjoy the park by checking out a board game or sports equipment from our Park Rental Bar. Come back that evening for Summer Saturdays! Enjoy a sunset movie showing of Captain America: Brave New World. Bring a low chair or blanket to claim your spot while grabbing a bite at one of our food trucks or order to-go at one of the restaurants adjacent to Heartwood Park and enjoy it during the movie. Heartwood Park, Omaha’s newest outdoor community gathering space within Heartwood Preserve, is the go-to destination for family and friends every weekend this summer. Enjoy over 70 FREE events hosted at Heartwood Park for residents and families who want to unwind, have fun and connect outdoors. Third Thursdays offer an engaging evening activity geared toward adults, such as Music Bingo (July 17) and Succulents & Wine (Aug. 21). Friday Night Bites & Beats includes a live performance, food trucks, bar, lawn games and chill vibes. Upcoming performances by Hector Anchondo (July 11), Bryan Lidgett (July 18) and Jonathan Wayward (July 25). Saturday Mornings in the Park offer a rotating schedule of Wellness in the Park workouts and Kids Club events with Omaha Children’s Museum. Summer Saturdays are for outdoor movies, silent discos and sunset concerts. Whiskey River performance (July 12) and The Nightmare Before Christmas movie (July 19). Sunday Mornings in the Park offer a rotating schedule of fun outdoor activities for families, and even the family pet, with Pups in the Park, in partnership with Nebraska Humane Society. To make visits more enjoyable, the Heartwood Park Ambassador program offers visitors amenities to borrow on-site, including picnic blankets, board games, lawn games and sports gear for all to enjoy.
