1515 Live Music: Featuring John Wiese and an Art Pop-Up by Sunni Mercer
John is a singer/songwriter from South Central Oklahoma, regularly performing at local coffee shops, cafés, and other venues around the OKC area. His performances often feature a mix of his original music and some of his favorite covers, spanning genres from Country, Folk, and Americana, with an occasional outlier thrown in for good measure. John recently completed recording with Wes Shannon of 115 Recording in Norman, OK, and his first full-length album is set for release in late Fall or Winter of 2024.
We are also excited to welcome gallery artist Sunni Mercer for a special art pop-up during the event, featuring a collection of her ceramic pieces. Sunni Mercer, MFA, NCIP, is an NEA Regional Fellow with extensive experience in studio art and interpretive design. Her signature work includes assemblage sculpture and conceptual/community art installations in various contexts. Sunni’s work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally and is archived at the Smithsonian Institution. She has received numerous awards and grants in both art and interpretive design, including the NEA “Artists & Communities / America Creates for the Millennium-National Registry.”
