Drink & Draw: CRAIG ANTHONY MILLER - "OWLS"
Long time Dumbo artist Craig Anthony Miller (CAM) will guide participants through creating their own colorful masterpieces, centering around the colorful owl murals, which can be seen throughout the neighborhood. Using spray paints and stencils, CAM will discuss how applying color theory and exploring shapes and linework create impact in a piece, in addition to discussing his journey to defining the visual fabric of Dumbo.
CAM (Craig Anthony Miller)’s images are connected to self-mastery modalities, embracing thoughts of power, stamina, and abiding presence to endure our biggest challenges. His work is a collection of visual cues of transformation and growth focusing on symbols, totems, emblems, and abstract figurative construction. CAM is influenced by graphic design, branding and he has a deep appreciation for street art and graffiti. Stylistically, his origin is picked up from his love of stained glass.
Art supplies including canvas, spray paints, acrylic paints, brushes, and pencils will be available for use for $20, but participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies if they have them. Easels will be provided.
