Poetry & Percussion
Experience a joyful and engaging workshop presented by percussionist JuJu Drum. Students will write poetry to percussive rhythms and learn multiple rhythm types based on their individual abilities. Teamwork is encouraged as students are placed in small groups to craft collaborative poetry paired with their selected rhythms. After building their percussive poetry routine “from the drum up,” each group closes the workshop with an opportunity to perform for their peers while JuJu cheers them on.
