It's time to get the party started with @proyectouno! They are celebrating their 35th anniversary in the music industry, and they'll be celebrating it with us!
🎉 Fresh sounds, merengue dance, and Latin vibes are taking the stage at the Black Box in the Williams Center, Rutherford, New Jersey!
Proyecto Uno is a Dominican-American hip hop/Merengue house group which helped popularize a style of music which blends merengue with techno, dancehall, reggae and hip-hop/rap music. The band was founded in New York City's East Side in 1989. Originally formed as traditional merengue band, Proyecto Uno received recognition in the 1990s, the group won Billboard Latin Music Awards, Premios Lo Nuestro and was nominated for an Emmy award. The current members are Nelson Zapata, Kid G and Paolo Tondo.

La banda se fundó en el East Side de la ciudad de Nueva York en 1989. Originalmente formada como una banda de merengue tradicional, Proyecto Uno recibió reconocimiento en los 90s, ganando Premios Billboard de la Música Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro y fué nominada a un premio Emmy. Los miembros actuales son Nelson Zapata, Kid G y Paolo Tondo.
