The WNET Group Gala 2026
The WNET Group will honor Neal Shapiro, who served as the organization’s sixth President and CEO, at its 2026 gala. This annual celebration will commemorate Shapiro’s nearly 20 years of transformative leadership in public broadcasting, celebrating his legacy as an award-winning producer and visionary who transformed the country’s largest public media organization from a traditional media operation into a premiere content provider. The evening will feature a special performance by six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald.
