Build a Home for Sky Mendoza
On Saturday, November 17, 2018, Sky Mendoza's life changed forever when she was involved in a car accident that claimed the life of her pregnant stepmother, and left her paralyzed from the neck down. Sky, who is 17-years old and a stage four paraplegic, spent 18 months in a rehabilitation facility and now shares a small apartment with her father, sister and brother in Middletown, New York. After seeing Sky's desperate need for help, The City of Middletown recently donated a 0.15-acre plot of land to a trust set up for Sky. The Mendoza family is now looking to raise funds to construct a wheelchair accessible home for the family of four. Building materials as well as labor for: carpentry, construction, electrical work, and many other services are also being accepted. Please email [email protected] for more information.
