NWSL Champions Gotham FC Kick Off Season at Sports Illustrated Stadium
Heads up, soccer fans!
Gotham FC – New York’s most recent championship winning team - is returning to action and kicking off the NWSL Season on March 21, 2026, at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, at 6:30 PM, in a match against the North Carolina Courage.
Before the first Gotham home game of the season, the team will be honored for their championship win in November. The team will be honored during a special ceremony, which will feature stars Rose Lavelle, Jaedyn Shaw, Emily Sonnett, Lilly Reale, Jess Carter, and Mandy Freeman receiving their championship rings.
Highlights the Game Experience
• NEW TROPHY: Fans can stop by the pre-game Fan Fest to take a photo with the 2025 NWSL trophy – in addition to the 2023 NWSL trophy and 2025 CONCACAF trophy.
• NEW KIT: A merch stand at Gate B will offer the new Lady Liberty kit, Champions Collection, and more.
• SPECIAL GIFT: The first 5,000 fans in attendance will receive a special Championship Beanie.
Getting There
• Public Transportation: Sports Illustrated Stadium via public transport is accessible by the PATH trains. The PATH Harrison Street Station is just a short 7-minute walk away from Sports Illustrated Stadium. See schedule here. The PATH is accessible from Manhattan via the World Trade Center and 33rd Street stations.
