Gotham FC returns to Sports Illustrated Stadium to take on San Diego Wave FC
In their first match back home since May, Gotham FC will host San Diego FC on Friday, August 7 at 8:00 PM.
Gotham FC, who recently hosted the largest women’s sporting event ever in NYC, is returning to Sports Illustrated Stadium for their Under the Lights match, which will feature a half-time light show.
You’ve got to BELIEVE this match is not to be missed, as cast members from Ted Lasso, the hit series returning for a fourth season about women’s soccer, will be cheering on the Bats, as well.
Fan Fest will start at 5:30 PM.
Highlights of the match include:
• 3+ PRIZE CHALLENGE
o Stop by Fan Fest or table near Section 105 to receive a collectable sticker. On your third game, when you earn your third sticker, you will also walk away with a mystery merch item worth $20.
• GUIDING EYES DOGS
o Dogs from Guiding Eyes for the Blind, who help support people with vision loss, will be present at Fan Fest and at the table in the concourse to greet fans as they head into the match
• RALLY TOWEL GIVEAWAY
o The first 4,000 fans through the gate will receive an Under the Lights custom rally towel
• IN-GAME SWEEPSTAKES
o Sweepstakes will occur throughout the match for fans to participate in with a variety of prizes
Getting There
• Public Transportation: Sports Illustrated Stadium via public transport is accessible by the PATH trains. The PATH Harrison Street Station is just a short 7-minute walk away from Sports Illustrated Stadium. See schedule here. The PATH is accessible from Manhattan via the World Trade Center and 33rd Street stations.
