Data Visions is an interactive community data experience. Data analysis and visualization are important and impactful and we believe they should be accessible to everyone! Data is an important storytelling tool and can teach us a lot about our world. Our goal is to make answering questions with data more understandable and fun! At this event, you will get to analyze and learn about open data by creating data visualizations of your own with art supplies!
Your projects will contribute to a larger data visualization, made up of all the art pieces combined. You will also have the opportunity to interact with our digital data dashboard. The dataset topics range from the critical public health statistics to the NYC park squirrel census, and much more. No matter your level of experience with data and analysis, you’ll be able to learn and have fun. We’ll have processed data ready to be visualized, and if you’re a data pro, bring your laptop to add to our analyses!
