Let’s Talk Women’s Health & Wellness Symposium

There’s something powerful about sitting in a room where you feel seen. Where your questions aren’t dismissed. Where you don’t have to fight for a seat at the table. Where your story matters, and your health and wellness are taken seriously. That’s the hallmark of the Let’s Talk Women’s Health & Wellness Symposium, to be held on Saturday, March 14, 9am-3pm (doors open at 8:30am) at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark. But heads up: this is no ordinary symposium. Be ready for open and candid conversations about every facet of life that may impact a woman’s well-being—including those topics that just aren’t talked about enough. Now in its fourth year, Let’s Talk’s signature symposium attracts more than 800 women who come to experience a wide range of activities and connect with the “best and brightest” in the health and wellness arena. Author, media personality and Essence Magazine editor-at-large Mikki Taylor returns as host for this unique event that will feature 65+ leading health and wellness experts and offer a range of opportunities for learning and engagement. Since its inception, Let’s Talk has been committed to driving transformative education and advocacy through community organizations and government partners to break systemic barriers and spread messages that help influence change in women’s health policy. By empowering communities and amplifying voices, the organization is striving to turn women’s health into a national priority with lasting, widespread impact. This incredible day, smack in the middle of Women’s History Month, is about challenging the status quo. It’s about creating space to speak openly, learn collectively, and equip ourselves with the tools to advocate for better care, more inclusive research, and a deeper understanding of the full spectrum of women’s health. Let’s Talk is THE room for you if you’re looking for a safe space where you can develop the confidence you need to be your best, boldest self: physically, mentally, spiritually, financially, and through human connection. The morning’s kick-off Plenary, What We’re Learning, What We’re Sharing: Innovations Every Woman Should Know will be an eye-opening discussion that will demystify the latest advances that are shaping the future of healthcare and driving it to be more precise, proactive, and personal. The afternoon Keynote, Radical Happiness: Reclaiming Joy as a Path to Wellness features four world-class experts for a deep dive into the Science of Joy. This isn’t a lecture on “staying positive;” it’s a masterclass on how joy impacts our hormones, boosts our immunity, and protects our longevity. In addition to the two Plenary Sessions, attendees get to fill their day’s schedule with whatever is most meaningful (or important) to them personally, choosing from a dozen stellar breakout sessions and a variety of unique and uplifting interactive experiences. Three-time Olympic gold medalist and WNBA Legend Sheryl Swoopes will be attending as the official representative of New Jersey Imaging Network (NJIN), a major sponsor of this year’s Symposium. Named one of the “30 Most Powerful Women in Sports” by Essence Magazine, Swoopes continues to lead off-the-court as a powerful advocate for women’s health, and a dedicated champion of preventive care for women of all ages. Visit the NJIN booth to meet this legendary icon and learn why she’s “team early detection.” There’s lot of additional activities that encourage each of our guests to “make it your day, your way.” Explore mindfulness, movement experiences, and more from more than a dozen vendors who will be in the Wellness Lounge, or visit the Let’s Talk Marketplace featuring some of Let’s Talk’s favorites women-owned businesses including: Chila Columbia, Little Words Project, Pooka Pure & Simple Boutique & Blend Bar, Jane’s Matcha and more. Also included in your ticket price are a healthy breakfast, lunch, snacks, coffee (for sustenance), entertainment (for fun), book signings (meet the authors), a closing champagne toast (to celebrate), plus a fabulous gift bag (doesn’t everyone love swag?).
