Visitors will have an opportunity to discover and experience several temporary public art installations, including:
October 10 - November 2 — Noche de Ánimas, a temporary outdoor photo exhibit in collaboration with Festival Tragaluz and NYC-based nonprofit Photoville in the Flatiron South Plaza, featuring a rich collection of photographs documenting the rituals of Michoacán’s Pátzcuaro riverbank, during Día de Muertos season.
October 10 - November 2 — Capture memories at the Día de Muertos photo frame in the Flatiron North Plaza! Set against the iconic Flatiron Building, Always Present / Siempre Presente - a vibrant, Día de Muertos-themed installation by local artist Blanka Amezkua - features colorful ribbons, sugar skulls, and maize husks, creating the perfect backdrop for your photos. Tag @FlatironNY on social for a chance to be featured!
Late October - November 2 — Visitors to the Flatiron South Plaza can enjoy traditional Mexican folk art Papel Picado decor by artist Tanya Aguiñiga strung in the sky.
November 1 - November 3 — Honor the memory of loved ones by visiting the community altar designed by Mano a Mano: Mexican Culture Without Borders, located on the Flatiron North Plaza.
