JAMbalaya! creates performance opportunities for brass bands and bands featuring horn sections at venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn to showcase their work to their fans as well as their peers performing in the other bands on the bill. It’s not often players get to perform for each other and share their projects. The JAM! brings players together by providing paid opportunities as well as allowing everyone to play together in a New Orleans style JAM! in a casual, stress-free and supportive environment. JAMbalaya! Is the only New Orleans jam, yet it is one of the fastest growing genres in the city. This monthly series cultivates a community of artists to socialize and perform together with the goal of fostering new relationships and networking opportunities which extends into the NYC music scene.
