A group of local parents and community members are hosting an informative session to advocate for bringing free, state-funded preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds in Bloomfield. The event will take place on Monday, April 7th, from 6:30-7:30 pm at The Little Theater at Bloomfield Public Library (90 Broad Street, Bloomfield, NJ 07003) and is open to all community members and local business providers who are interested in supporting the continued progress of our town.
This session will provide information on how the district can take advantage of the free, full-day preschool funding available for 3- and 4-year-olds by partnering with local childcare providers and will highlight how the program works, address common concerns, and discuss how residents and local businesses can support the effort to bring free preschool to the community.
Guest speakers include Cindy Shields from Advocates for Children of NJ and Tezeta Roro, a parent advocate who successfully expanded state-funded preschool in West Orange. They will share insights on how state-funded preschool works, the benefits for Bloomfield families, and the steps Bloomfield can take to apply for this funding.
The event presents an opportunity for Bloomfield residents and business owners to connect, learn, and take action on this critical issue.
