The Weight Band with Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams
Performing classic songs of The Band, The Weight Band is led by Jim Weider, a 15-year former member of The Band and the Levon Helm Band. The Weight Band originated in 2013 inside the famed Woodstock barn of Levon Helm. Weider was inspired by Helm to carry on the musical legacy of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group.
Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter Larry Campbell and singer-guitarist Teresa Williams' acclaimed eponymous 2015 debut, released after seven years of playing in Levon Helm's band – and frequent guesting with Phil Lesh, Little Feat, Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady, as well as Larry's 8 years with Bob Dylan, bring to the stage the crackling creative energy of a decades-long offstage union.
