Successful Asian Women in the Legal Profession

Raising the Bar: The Door Between Public and Private Sectors Raising the Bar is AWIB's annual forum on Asian women in the legal profession. For 2016, AWIB addresses how the path to a successful legal career has changed and how options are wider than ever before. Working in government or at a non-profit organization can lead to private sector opportunities; and while a private firm partnership track may or may not be a possibility, the experience can be a springboard to more exciting work.

We are pleased to have a panel of powerful Asian women attorneys who have worked in both the public and private sectors. They will discuss their adjustment going from one sector to another and how their diverse experiences have impacted their personal and professional lives. Refreshments will be provided.

Panel Members:
Christina Lee, Deputy General Counsel, AIG
Katy Choo, Chief Investigative & Anti-Corruption Counsel, GE
The Hon. Peggy Kuo, United States Magistrate Judge (EDNY)
Lisa Lim, Partner, Akerman LLP

A suggested donation of $25. There are a limited number of seats available for this event. All proceeds for Raising the Bar go towards the AWIB Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to Asian female undergraduates who have a track record of leaderships.
