During sailing lessons or tours, participants can admire the picturesque Port Washington harbor in the company of an experienced captain
- Beginner sailing lesson: Under the captain’s supervision, students will get to know the boat controls (tiller, mainsheet, and jib sheets), practice wind awareness, and learn how to perform basic sailing maneuvers including steering a course, tacking, gybing, man overboard, and heave-to. The course is designed to provide aspiring sailors with a realistic evaluation of their abilities and a practical timeline for becoming a competent professional. The course itself lasts from 2-4 hours and includes 1-hour sail per student.
