Legion of Mars Honorary Veterans Day Lunch
Each Veterans Day, the Legion of Mars gathers its ranks to show a small token of our appreciation for the service and sacrifice of our Veterans. Mars volunteers will join forces with local food and beverage donors to serve a fantastic lunch at our local VA Hospital to Veterans and staff alike.
To make this day extra special, the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System (SLVHCS) is hosting an exhibition WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL game featuring The New Orleans Saints Rolling Football Team versus the SLVHCS Staff. The event is to show appreciation for all Veterans served at SLVHCS.
The Legion of Mars invites any Veteran to stop in and to enjoy a meal on us this Veterans Day, and welcomes thankful patriots to attend, lend a hand, and show their support for our country’s bravest defenders and those who work to help them overcome their challenges.
Food Donors include: Walk-on’s, Fulton Alley, Copper Vine, Popeyes, Napoleon House, Basin Seafood and Spirits, The Sugary, and more!
