On Wednesday, March 25 at 7pm, Jack Rose welcomes California's Presqu'ile Winery for an intimate evening of wine and food, co-hosted by the Murphy family themselves — founders Madison and Suzanne Murphy alongside their daughter Anna, the winery's enologist. Presqu'ile, Creole for "almost an island," was born from both loss and love. Named for the family's beloved gathering place on the Mississippi Gulf Coast — destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 — the winery carries forward a spirit of Southern hospitality on California's Central Coast. From their sustainably farmed estate in Santa Maria Valley, the Murphys and winemaker Dieter Cronje craft elegant, Burgundian-style wines that have earned critical acclaim and a devoted following.
For this special evening, Jack Rose's chefs have built a five-course menu around Presqu'ile's stunning range — from vibrant Sauvignon Blanc and rare Aligoté to their estate Chardonnay, Gamay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah. Expect a seasonally inspired progression across five courses plus a passed reception pairing, designed to showcase the natural acidity and cool-climate finesse these wines are known for. Think rock shrimp ceviche with Sauvignon Blanc, flounder meunière with estate Chardonnay, and Iberico pork with Gamay — all poured and guided by the family who grew the grapes and made the wine.
Tickets are available for $195pp (including tax and tip) with limited seats available. Reserve now at https://www.opentable.com/booking/experiences-availability?rid=1009744&restref=1009744&experienceId=321137&utm_source=external&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=shared.
