After fulfilling your civic duty at the ballot box, don’t let the excitement end with your vote. The Griswold Inn continues its Book Club Series with a special luncheon featuring New York Times best-selling authors Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White. Join us on Tuesday, November 5, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM for a book signing, engaging discussion, and celebration regarding the trio’s latest collaboration, An Author’s Guide to Murder, coinciding with the novel's official release.
This marks the fifth novel by the trio known as “Team W.” While each novelist has a dedicated following in her own right, they began co-writing novels together in 2016, starting with The Forgotten Room, followed by The Glass Ocean (2018), All the Ways We Said Goodbye (2020), and The Lost Summers of Newport (2022).
“We’re incredibly excited to welcome local author Beatriz Williams from Lyme and her co-authors for our Book Club Series,” says Joan Paul, co-owner of The Griswold Inn. “It’s the perfect opportunity to take a moment away from the frenzy of Election Day and enjoy a relaxing – and delicious – experience!”
Lauren Willig declares on her website, “We call this our ‘Monarch of the Glen meets Murder She Wrote’ book. It’s a madcap mystery set in a castle on a remote Scottish island where a male author is found murdered multiple ways. Suspicion falls on the three American authors on a writing retreat at the castle, three besties writing a book together. Or are they?”
The cost for attending the event is $60 plus tax, which includes a light lunch and a signed copy of the book. Some of the authors other titles will also be available for purchase and signing at the event.
Advanced registration is required. For more information and to register, visit The Griswold Inn’s website.
