The Naugatuck Valley Genealogy Club will meet at the Prospect Public Library, 17 Center Street, Prospect, and on Zoom on Saturday, June 14, at 10:30 a.m. Following a brief business meeting, Toni McKeen will present “Fold3.” An under-utilized resource, Fold3 is an online platform specializing in military records. It can be a valuable resource for genealogy and historical research in the United States, but also Canada and the United Kingdom. It also holds a lot of surprises. Toni will walk us through this valuable resource.
Toni McKeen, a resident of Ridgefield CT, is a popular lecturer at various genealogy societies in the New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Boston, and Long Island areas. She is a member of several genealogical organizations and is Chair of the Genealogy Club of Newtown. The public is invited and there is no charge for the meeting. Members and guests may attend in-person at the Prospect Library. Also, members will receive Zoom invitations and non-members can request an invitation by emailing their full name, address, telephone number and email address to [email protected] no later than June 12. For more information, call Dick Kreitner, (203) 881-8181.
