Join us on May 4 at West End United Methodist Church for an exciting organ recital by James Kealey, one of the leading young organists of his generation. Kealey rose to national prominence as the First Prize and Audience Prize winner of the American Guild of Organists National Young Artist Competition in Organ Performance (NYACOP) in 2022, one of the most prestigious honors for emerging organists in the United States.
An accomplished recitalist, concerto soloist, and teacher, Kealey is known for his dynamic performances and engaging musicianship. He has appeared in concert venues across the country and is a frequent presenter of master classes, inspiring the next generation of musicians. In recognition of his achievements, he was named to The Diapason’s “20 Under 30” list in 2021.
Currently serving as Director of Music & Fine Arts at Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, Kealey combines his active performing career with church music leadership at a high level. He holds a Master of Music degree in Organ Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music.
This recital promises an inspiring evening of artistry and virtuosity, showcasing the expressive power and brilliance of the organ in the hands of a rising star.
