Filmmakers in Franklin invites the community to a very special event at the beloved Franklin Theatre on Saturday, August 23 at 11:00 AM. Families, film lovers, and Disney fans of all ages are welcome to enjoy a big-screen showing of The Lion King — followed by a Q&A and meet-and-greet with director Roger Allers.
Allers, who brought Simba, Mufasa, Timon, and Pumbaa to life in one of Disney’s most treasured films, will share stories from behind the scenes, offer a peek into the creative process, and talk about the magic that made The Lion King an instant classic. Guests will also have the chance to meet him in person after the film.
“This is a rare opportunity for our community to connect with a world-class filmmaker right here in Franklin,” said Leah Allers, founder of Filmmakers in Franklin. “It’s a celebration of storytelling, family, and the joy of movies.”
