About Journeys In Community Living:
Since our founding in 1975, Journeys has steadfastly committed to supporting adults with disabilities in Rutherford and Cannon counties. With a comprehensive range of services, including employment training, healthcare oversight, residential and transportation assistance, and community engagement opportunities, we empower over 100 individuals to pursue their dreams of independent living.
Focus for this Year:
This year, we focus on expanding our Supported Living Program to better serve older adults and adults with disabilities in the Rutherford and Cannon County communities. This $180,000 project involves crucial enhancements such as making our homes handicapped accessible, transforming our eight-person group home into a duplex, and providing rent supplements to individuals whose expenses surpass their fixed income.
As we strive to achieve these milestones, we recognize the indispensable role of our supporters. Your generosity fuels our mission, enabling us to provide essential services that empower older adults and individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.
