OZ's 10th Anniversary Bash
You’re invited to a one-of-kind anniversary bash, delivered with OZ’s distinct contemporary style! Celebrate 10 years of Brave New Art with a festive evening featuring more than two dozen artists and performers who helped make OZ Arts’ first decade unforgettable.
See performances from celebrated movement collective New Dialect, theatrical noir rock band Fable Cry and interdisciplinary dance ensemble Shackled Feet Dance. DJ RAIDEN (prominent art gallerist and curator Clarence Edward) will keep the energy flowing with his impeccable playlist and theater maven Jennifer Whitcomb-Oliva will be your guide for the evening with her signature warmth and humor as emcee.
Between performances, explore a variety of visual art installations from OZ’s past and present, including a new visual art exhibit featuring artists from the first decade of exhibitions, selected kinetic sculptures by Alex Lockwood and a sampling of “MAPS – Modular Art Pods,” open-source collaborative art tunnels initiated by circuit-bending legend Tony Youngblood and presented by OZ in 2016. This new mini-installation is curated by Madeleine Hicks and includes pods by Beth Reitmeyer, Marlos E’van, Dycee Wildman, and Youngblood himself.
