Neah McMeen is a rising country-pop artist whose heartfelt storytelling and Midwest roots continue to earn her growing attention. Her fifth single, “Unexpectedly,” set for release across all platforms this Friday, March 6, marks a major career milestone as her first self-penned track - co-written with Grammy nominee Deborah Allen. McMeen will celebrate her new single and songwriter debut at a release party hosted at Kittenish (304 11th Avenue South in Nashville) on Friday starting at 12 PM, where she will perform an acoustic set. All are welcome to attend.
“This is one of the first songs I ever wrote, and I’m pinching myself that I got to co-write it with Deborah,” says McMeen. “The song is about love showing up out of nowhere - the sparks, the hesitation, and learning to trust something real. Writing it reminded me why I fell in love with songwriting and telling stories that feel honest, heartfelt, and full of life.”
McMeen’s debut single, the relatable and emotionally sharp “Bitter,” was released in November of 2024 and quickly made waves for its raw, relatable storytelling and viral TikTok success—racking up nearly 500,000 views in just 48 hours. “Lonely Night” was dropped on Valentine’s Day 2025. Her third release, “Girls Cry In Cars,” released April 2025, showcased her ability to connect deeply with listeners navigating young love and growing pains. In June 2025, she released her fourth single, “God Knows Where,” a faith-centered anthem about trusting life’s unknown path, which also secured her television debut with a performance on the reality renovation series “Flipping Farms” (available on YouTube, Amazon Prime, and The Roku Channel).
With each release, she continues to carve out a sound that blends country tradition with modern pop influence—anchored by authenticity, vulnerability, and heart. At just 21, McMeen has already opened for country favorite Lucas Hoge and performed the national anthem at major NFL and MLB events. Originally from Webber, Kansas, she recently relocated to Nashville to fully pursue her music career.
