Buddy’s Place is excited to welcome Sam Palladio, Striking Matches and Gina Venier to the Neon Steeplel, located in the heart of Eric Church’s Chief’s on Broadway. Sam Palladio Actor and musician Sam Palladio grew up in Cornwall in the southwest of England, but it was in Music City USA, Nashville Tennessee, that Sam got his musical big break playing the role of soulful Country songwriter Gunnar Scott on ABC’s hit TV Drama “Nashville”. Created by Academy award winning writer Callie Khouri, “Nashville” ran for 6 seasons with over 5 millions viewers each week. Sam found himself immersed in the worlds of Americana, Folk and Country and was able to make music with some of the finest musicians and songwriters in the world. Sam recently set out to make his debut album. Having lived and made music in Nashville for nearly a decade, he felt his debut needed to reflect his British roots, Cornish upbringing and his time spent on both sides of the world. In 2022 he teamed up with Danish producer Søren Hansen (of New Politics) and multi Grammy-winning producer Dave Sardy (Oasis, Snow Patrol, LCD Soundsystem, The Who). His 1st single “Something On My Mind” was released to critical acclaim in late 2024 followed by the single “Tennessee” (featuring Chris Shiflett of the Foo Fighters) both from his debut album The Perfect Summer’s Day, Before We Lost The Light. In 2026 Sam returned with two new singles, “Glitter”and “Burberry Jacket.” (which earned Sam Lightning 100’s artist of the week upon release). Sam's other television and film credits include, Netflix’s “The Princess Switch” trilogy, AMC's "Humans”, Showtime's "Episodes" alongside Matt Leblanc, ABC’s primetime drama “Rebel” opposite Katy Segal and Andy Garcia and most recently stars in the new Bob Marley Biopic “One Love” which released in February 2024 Striking Matches “We met in guitar class” is not a thing many people can say...but Sarah Zimmermann and Justin Davis performed together for the first time on the very same day they met...in guitar class. Striking Matches went on to release their debut album produced by T-Bone Burnett, and have since released 3 more EPs, many singles, and have had their songs featured on Grey’s Anatomy, American Idol, Nashville, and Monday Night Football, to name a few. Both lead guitarists, singers and songwriters, Sarah and Justin’s music spans a wide array of sounds and genres, combining pop choruses with blues guitar riffs. Their musical prowess creates an electrifying and unique experience with each live performance. They recently released a new 3 EP project titled “Morning, Noon and Night” each with a different sound and sonic space. While morning, noon and night are three parts of a day, Morning, Noon and Night are meant to be three parts of what makes up Striking Matches. Gina Venier Native to the Chicago area, Gina Venier is a mid-west girl through and through: from her love for the Chicago Cubs; to the straight-forward way she says exactly what she means. Her fun-loving, down-to earth personality makes everyone feel a part of the party. And all this comes through unapologetically in her music. Over a rhythmic backdrop, the raw character in her voice dances with her sometimes sexy and always honest lyric commanding attention from audiences in a way that only a force of nature could do. Nashville based for the past ten years now, Venier has released and co-produced her latest project alongside writer/producer, Savana Santos (Avenue Beat, JP Saxe, Little Big Town, Madi Diaz), earning a headlining slot at Nashville Pride and praise from Spotify, Apple Music, SiriusXM, Billboard, People, and CMT, among others.
