In conjunction with Middle Tennessee's largest entrepreneurial conference 3686, author Lily Clayton Hansen will teach small business owners and rising entrepreneurs how to give a great interview.
As a jounalist who has conducted over 2,000 in her career, and often teachers clients how to deliver great interviews as a media trainer, Hansen often jokes, "Media training used to just be for celebrities but with the rise of podcasts, YouTube shows, and content creation everyone needs to learn how to be well spoken and represent their brand in a public setting."
In this workshop, Hansen will begin by sharing best practices for how to deliver an interview in a podcast, on camera, and in the written form. She will also dive into why being interviewed, similar to public speaking, is so challenging for many and how to ease your nerves by simply accepting this fear.
Following her brief speech, Hansen will live interview two prominent members of the entrepeneurial community - who she is keeping a secret until the day of - about their experience learning to be interviewed and present themselves in the public eye. The talk will demonstrate the skills Hansen discussed earlier and also shows - rather than tells - the audience that teaching oneself to speak eloquently and efficiently publicly is possible.
This workshop is a Partner Pop-up in conjunction with 3686, one of Nashville's finest.
