It’s March and time for some laughs at the Z Playhouse that you’re sure to love!
Back by popular demand is funny man Robert G. Lee. Robert is already known in the entertainment industry as Hollywood’s top warm-up comic. This veteran of 1,000 episodes of such shows as The New Adventures of Old Christine, Just Shoot Me, Becker and The Drew Carey Show is considered to be the reigning king in this very specialized profession. His job is to keep countless audiences entertained between scenes and costume and set changes with rapid-fire ad-libs and humorous interviews.
No stranger in front of the camera either, Robert has written, produced and starred in six stand-up comedy specials and has been seen on the Bananas Comedy series, on Showtime’s The Joke’s On Thee, VH1’s Stand Up Spotlight, Comic Strip Live and a variety of roles on such sitcoms as Wings and Perfect Strangers.
Joining Robert and making his Z Playhouse debut, is comedian/impressionist Richard Daryl Osborn. Richard got his start in comedy early, discovering his ability to impersonate at the age of 13. After performing at talent shows and comedy competitions up and down the East Coast, Richard made his way to California to pursue his dreams. He's opened for such artists as Jerry Seinfeld, Sinbad, Damon Wayons, Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown and Will Smith. Richard has also done voices on SiTV and Comedy Central and has appeared on the big screen alongside such artists as the late Jack Lemmon, James Garner and Dan Ackroyd in the Paramount Pictures classic, "My Fellow Americans". Richard does well over 150 impressions from Denzel to George Burns. You never know who you'll hear next.
Rounding out the evening of laughter is Mike Hughes. Mike can be seen performing regularly throughout a variety of OC & LA clubs including The Comedy Store, The Improv, and Flappers. His low-key delivery, instant likability, and comedic observations, has made him an audience favorite wherever he performs. In addition to performing Mike also produces comedy shows throughout the OC.
Our big show on March 2 will be hosted by the very talented Marianne Connors. While relatively “new” to the world of stand-up, Marianne’s clean and honest look at everyday life makes her a must see at comedy clubs and events. As a retired school teacher, her quick sense of humor kept her alive and sane for the many years she “performed” in front of a classroom filled with unruly students. Now doing comedy full time, Marianne talks about a wide range of topics audiences of all ages can relate to.
Get your tickets early as this show will fill up quickly and get ready to Lass Your Aff Off!!
