LatinX Heritage Month Kickoff
What Latinx Heritage Month Kickoff will Bring:
Cultural Significance: . Segerstrom Center for the Arts is adamant about creating a space where all art is welcome and this kickoff event offers a space for the LatinX community to honor and champion the beauty in its dynamic cultures, and recognize the abundance of incredible art that the community produces.
Diverse Performances: The kickoff will feature local music and dance talents with a diverse scope of Latin sounds and styles. A local favorite band, Betty’s Mustache, will bring a unique style intertwining Hip Hop, Rock, and Cumbia making for an electric fusion. DJ Allie Rock, a Santa Ana-based DJ, will join the party with an exciting blend of hip-hop, 2000s R &B, and Spanish pop. Patrons can also expect a performance from a Bolivian Dance group, and DJs to keep the rhythms flowing on the dancefloor.
Family-Friendly Fun: With activities for all ages, there will be something to enjoy for everyone including raffles and giveaways, a photobooth, a screen printing cart, food trucks, an Orange County Public Library Book Mobile, lawn games, kid friendly crafts, and of course a dancefloor to let loose and enjoy the spirit of the community.
