The script is a “Play within a play.” The “Friends of the Two Spruce Library” is producing a play in hopes of raising enough money to save their beloved library. Several volunteer actors are taking part. We open to the final rehearsal only an hour before the audience is to arrive: it is at this point an ACTUAL murder occurs of one of the cast members, leaving the remaining cast members to make the choice: cancel the play, or.... proceed and hope the audience doesn’t notice the body.
