The University of Minnesota New Music Ensemble is a student-led ensemble dedicated to
providing a space for students to explore the practice and creation of new music. Prior to the
creation of the ensemble, the University of Minnesota School of Music provided few
opportunities for students wishing to collaborate on the performance of contemporary classical
